Taiwan’s Criminal Law Article 339‑4 (Aggravated Fraud) has been amended to include a fourth clause addressing this method. Whoever, by using computer-generated synthesis or other technological means to produce false images, voices, or electromagnetic recordings of another person and commits fraud, shall be sentenced to imprisonment from one to seven years, and may also be fined up to NT$1,000,000.
